Avoid running other high-demand draws during fill sessions. Laundry, long showers, and irrigation all pull from the same well at the same time. Stagger them so the pump isn't competing with two demands at once.

Well water is not the same as municipal water when it comes to pool startup. City water gets treated before it reaches you. Well water brings whatever is in your aquifer, and in rural Texas that often means hardness, iron, or both.

High iron can discolor pool water and stain surfaces. High calcium and magnesium, the minerals that cause hardness, change how pH behaves and can lead to scaling on the liner and equipment over time.
